GD Resoures LLC is seeking a qualified Wastewater Sampling & Environmental Field Technician to support environmental compliance operations across multiple wastewater treatment facilities within Buffalo National River.

The selected candidate will be responsible for collecting, handling, and coordinating laboratory testing of wastewater and soil samples in accordance with federal and state regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine wastewater sampling at multiple treatment plants
• Collect, label, preserve, and transport samples to certified laboratories
• Ensure all sampling complies with 40 CFR Part 136
• Conduct monthly and annual sampling as required by site permits
• Coordinate sampling schedules with project representatives
• Maintain accurate field records and chain-of-custody documentation
• Submit testing data and reports in a timely manner
• Follow all safety protocols and environmental compliance standards

Sampling Scope

• Monthly sampling (various locations and schedules)
• Annual wastewater and soil testing
• Testing parameters include:
  • pH, Dissolved Oxygen
  • Nutrients (Nitrogen, Phosphorus)
  • Bacteria (E. coli, Fecal Coliform)
  • Solids and biochemical oxygen demand
  • Metals and other environmental indicators

Qualifications

Required:

• Experience in wastewater sampling, environmental testing, or related field
• Familiarity with environmental compliance standards and sampling procedures
• Ability to work independently in outdoor field environments
• Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Preferred:

• Experience working with certified laboratories
• Knowledge of Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality requirements
• Environmental science or related technical background

Work Schedule

• Monday – Friday, 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM
• Occasional schedule adjustments may be required
• Advance notice required for site visits

Work Environment

• Outdoor fieldwork in varying weather conditions
• Travel between multiple facility locations
• Work performed in accordance with National Park Service regulations

• Physical ability to perform field sampling tasks
• Timely communication and coordination with project team
