Job Title: Project Manager

Location: Austin, Texas (2 days remote, 3 days onsite Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays) 
Duration: 10 months -  Contract
Rate: Depends on experience

Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced Project Manager (PMP-certified) to lead the implementation of a Budget Planning Tool. This role requires proven expertise in managing large-scale projects across complex organizations, with strong skills in Agile methodology, SDLC oversight, risk management, and stakeholder engagement. The Project Manager will work closely with both program and IT teams to ensure milestones, deliverables, and project scope are achieved on time and within budget. This hybrid role requires candidates to be onsite three days per week.

Responsibilities:
•    Plan, execute, and oversee all project phases, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
•    Facilitate meetings, track milestones and deliverables, and manage change requests.
•    Monitor risks, issues, and dependencies while developing mitigation strategies.
•    Manage project scope, budget, and timelines with transparency and accountability.
•    Guide and facilitate the SDLC process, ensuring business requirements translate into technical specifications.
•    Provide weekly project updates and lead regular status meetings with stakeholders.
•    Support Agile feature-driven sprints, tracking development progress and ensuring timely delivery.
•    Collaborate across program and IT teams to ensure successful implementation of the Budget Planning Tool.

Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements
•    10 years of experience managing large-scale projects across organizations, including project planning, risk management, and contingency planning.
•    10 years of experience analyzing complex problems, preparing concise reports, and developing solutions.
•    10 years overseeing SDLC artifacts and guiding technical teams through project execution.
•    10 years building strong relationships with sponsors and stakeholders with excellent communication and presentation skills.
•    10 years of experience summarizing and escalating issues, presenting weekly updates, and conducting team meetings.
•    10 years working in collaborative, fast-paced environments with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
•    10 years applying Agile methodology to track progress and manage sprints.
•    Agile experience specifically managing feature-driven sprints.

Preferred Requirements
•    5 years of experience using Agile best practices within State Agencies.
•    2 years of PMP certification
