Job Title: Software Architect
Location: Menands, NY (Onsite Role)
Hourly Rate: $70-$104 (Depending on experience)
Duration: 30 months

What You’ll Do
- Collaborate with project management to fulfill objectives of the Business Information System (BIS) project under WCB’s BPR initiative.
- Guide and mentor a team of developers working on module-specific development.
- Facilitate and lead design sessions / technical reviews.
- Engage with ITS teams to coordinate use of shared services for the Medical Portal.
- Architect shared services with potential reuse by other agencies.
- Design and document the technical environment for the portal implementation.
- Lead structured code reviews to ensure compliance with best practices.
- Coordinate and oversee unit and integrated testing efforts.
- Enforce and uphold architectural, design, and coding standards.
- Develop comprehensive system documentation and technical specifications.
What You’ll Need

| Team Leadership | 5+ years leading a development team of five or more; proven mentoring and management capability |
| Technical Documentation | 5+ years creating/editing system documentation /technical specs |
| Programming | 5+ years writing C# code in Visual Studio |
| Web Server Management | 5+ years using IIS Web Server for application deployment |
| Source Control | 3+ years working with Team Foundation Server (TFS) |
| Database Development | 5+ years designing/deploying SQL objects, stored procedures, and schemas |
| SOA Design | 4+ years applying Service-Oriented Architecture principles |
| Testing | 3+ years writing and executing unit tests |
| UI/UX Development | 2+ years developing user interfaces using MVC framework |
