Position Overview:
This mid-level Tester position supports the NYS Office of Mental Health's legacy risk remediation efforts under the New York State HBITS initiative. The candidate will participate in projects that modernize legacy systems and ensure software quality through automated and manual testing methods. Key technologies include Selenium WebDriver, .NET Core, Java, ALM QC, and performance testing tools.

Position Overview:
This mid-level Tester position supports the NYS Office of Mental Health's legacy risk remediation efforts under the New York State HBITS initiative. The candidate will participate in projects that modernize legacy systems and ensure software quality through automated and manual testing methods. Key technologies include Selenium WebDriver, .NET Core, Java, ALM QC, and performance testing tools.
Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain automated regression tests using UFT, Selenium WebDriver, Java, and .Net Core
- Conduct manual and automated testing, including functional, integration, regression, and ad-hoc testing
- Develop and execute comprehensive QA plans, test cases, and test scripts
- Perform testing on multiple devices and browsers, including mobile and desktop platforms
- Support documentation efforts and provide assistance with application functionality
- Create user acceptance tests and relevant documentation based on business input
- Participate in regular meetings with stakeholders and technical teams
- Report on task progress, participate in Scrum ceremonies, and manage defect tracking
Qualifications:
- 4 years of experience creating, maintaining, and running regression/automation tests using Selenium WebDriver with Java or .Net Core 2.0, including ADA compliance testing using JAWS, WAVE, NVDA, and performance testing with LoadRunner
- 4 years of experience creating and implementing test parallelization, strategies, plans, and reusable automation frameworks on multiple platforms, including mobile
- 4 years of experience creating testing documents for UAT and using ALM QC and Jira for test and defect management
- 3 years of experience creating online help using Robohelp or similar tools
- 3 years of experience working with government financial/health data
- 3 years of experience using Team Foundation Server and SharePoint
- 1 year of experience testing applications containing HIPAA Protected Health Information (PHI)
