Title: Network Security Specialist (Proxy)
Client: USPS
Location: Onsite, Raleigh-Durham area
Rate: Depends on experience


Position Overview:
Project is part of the initiative supporting USPS’s Network Connectivity Platform (NCP). This role focuses on implementing and managing Bluecoat proxy solutions and related security infrastructure for a high-availability environment.


Responsibilities:
  • Design, configure, and deploy Bluecoat proxy platforms
  • Define and maintain proxy and SSL interception policies
  • Implement proxy authentication methods within domain environments
  • Monitor and optimize proxy infrastructure for performance and security
  • Lead root cause analysis and troubleshoot deployment issues
  • Liaise with Symantec Support and internal teams for issue resolution
  • Ensure compliance with security best practices and deployment standards
  • Report incidents and provide status updates to stakeholders
  • Contribute to related deployment and security operations as needed

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with Bluecoat/Symantec proxy solutions
  • 3+ years experience in network security, PKI, and SSL interception
  • Strong understanding of domain-based authentication and proxy policies
  • Familiarity with SNMP, Syslog, VPNs, HSMs, and internal PKI environments
  • Demonstrated success in production deployments and issue resolution
