Intraoperative Neuromonitoring (IOM) Technologist

GD Resources LLC is seeking a qualified Intraoperative Neuromonitoring (IOM) Technologist to provide real-time neurophysiological monitoring services in support of surgical procedures at a U.S. Military Treatment Facility (MTF). This position plays a critical role in ensuring patient safety and supporting surgical teams through continuous monitoring and communication of neurological function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform intraoperative neuromonitoring during surgical procedures, including:

    • Somatosensory Evoked Potentials (SSEPs)

    • Motor Evoked Potentials (MEPs)

    • Brainstem Auditory Evoked Responses (BAERs)

    • Cranial Nerve Monitoring (III–XII)

    • Intraoperative EEG

    • Deep Brain Stimulation monitoring

    • Pedicle screw stimulation and other required modalities

  • Prepare patients for monitoring, including electrode placement and system setup

  • Conduct equipment testing and calibration prior to procedures

  • Provide continuous real-time monitoring throughout surgical cases

  • Communicate neurophysiological changes promptly to the surgical team

  • Maintain accurate documentation of monitoring activities and procedures

  • Ensure proper maintenance, functionality, and security of all equipment

  • Provide periodic in-service training to operating room staff

Availability & Response Requirements

  • Maintain 24/7 availability for scheduled and emergency cases

  • Respond to routine cases with 72-hour notice

  • Respond to emergency cases within 2 hours

  • Arrive at least 2 hours prior to scheduled procedures

Minimum Qualifications

  • CNIM (ABRET) or ABNM certification required

  • Minimum of 12 weeks formal IOM training

  • Current, valid, unrestricted credentials

  • Demonstrated experience in intraoperative neuromonitoring

  • Strong technical and communication skills

Compliance Requirements

  • Maintain annual HIPAA training

  • Comply with DoD, MTF, and Joint Commission standards

  • Complete required OPSEC and Anti-Terrorism training

  • Meet installation access and credentialing requirements (Symplr)

Work Environment

  • Operating room setting within a military medical facility

  • Requires attention to detail, focus, and adherence to safety protocols

  • Ability to work in high-pressure, time-sensitive environments
