Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and credentialed Behavioral Health Continuing Medical Education (CME) Trainer to provide non-personal, on-site behavioral health training services at Martin Army Community Hospital (MACH), located at Fort Benning, GA. This position supports the U.S. Army Medical Department Activity (MEDDAC) by delivering evidence-based behavioral health education aligned with CME standards to clinical personnel.

The selected professional will be responsible for designing and delivering high-quality behavioral health CME content in compliance with Department of Defense (DoD), Army, and Joint Commission standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver live (in-person and/or virtual) CME-accredited behavioral health training sessions to licensed clinical staff at MACH.

  • Ensure that training content is evidence-based and supports current clinical guidelines for mental health, PTSD, suicide prevention, substance misuse, and trauma-informed care.

  • Coordinate with hospital leadership and clinical educators to schedule training sessions and align content with hospital goals and CME credit requirements.

  • Track attendance, issue CME certificates, and support post-training evaluations to measure knowledge retention and practical application.

  • Provide quarterly updates and compliance documentation as required by the Government Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR).

  • Assist in maintaining records for continuing education credits in accordance with accreditation body requirements (e.g., ACCME, ANCC).

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Clinical License (e.g., LCSW, LPC, LMFT, PsyD, PhD, MD, or NP) in good standing.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in behavioral health practice or training.

  • Demonstrated experience delivering CME-accredited education to healthcare professionals.

  • Deep understanding of military culture and behavioral health concerns affecting service members and veterans.

  • Ability to develop and adapt curriculum aligned with adult learning principles and evidence-based behavioral health practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working in a military hospital or federal medical facility.

  • Certification in Trauma-Informed Care, Suicide Prevention, or Military Behavioral Health.

  • Familiarity with Joint Commission standards and Army MEDDAC training protocols.

  • Experience working with DoD contracts or military medical education programs.

Work Environment & Schedule:

  • On-site at Martin Army Community Hospital, Fort Benning, GA.

  • Training dates/times coordinated with the hospital's CME office.

  • Some remote/virtual sessions may be required as determined by the Government.

  • Must comply with military base access requirements and pass background checks.

Compensation:

  • Hourly or per-session basis, based on experience and qualifications.

  • All travel, lodging, and materials must be pre-approved in accordance with contract guidelines, if applicable.
