Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Respiratory Therapist (RT) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality respiratory care and performing diagnostic procedures essential for evaluating and managing patients with respiratory conditions. This role requires expertise in both pediatric and adult care, with a focus on delivering exceptional patient-centered therapy and collaborating with healthcare professionals to develop treatment plans.

Responsibilities:
  • Administer respiratory treatments and therapies as prescribed.
  • Monitor and evaluate patient responses to therapy and adjust treatments accordingly.
  • Conduct a variety of diagnostic procedures, including polysomnograms, CPAP/Bilevel titrations, oxygen titrations, seizure montages, impedance pH testing, and electrocardiograms (EKGs).
  • Educate patients and families on respiratory care, equipment use, and therapy options.
  • Work closely with providers, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
  • Assist in managing patients with tracheostomies, PAP titrations, and ventilator weaning.
  • Score and interpret sleep studies, including inpatient and outpatient four-channel studies and multiple sleep latency tests.
  • Conduct home sleep test (HST) education and setup.
  • Respond to emergency situations, providing critical respiratory support until the appropriate medical team arrives.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and safety protocols.

Requirements:
  • Licensure: Licensed as a Respiratory Therapist in the State of Minnesota.
  • Certification:
  • Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC).
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification (if applicable).
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program.
  • N95 fit testing required.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in infant and pediatric diagnostic testing and sleep studies.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in high-pressure environments and respond effectively in emergencies.

Job Types: Full-time, Per diem, Contract
Pay: $55.00 - $57.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
