Position Overview:
This expert-level Systems Developer position supports the Juvenile Justice component of the OCFS Data Warehouse under the New York State HBITS initiative. The selected candidate will work on the development and enhancement of Oracle Data Warehouse structures and ETL processes using Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) and Warehouse Builder (OWB). The role focuses on building reliable data pipelines, supporting complex reporting needs, and ensuring successful data transformations for state and federal reporting.

Position Overview:
This expert-level Systems Developer position supports the Juvenile Justice component of the OCFS Data Warehouse under the New York State HBITS initiative. The selected candidate will work on the development and enhancement of Oracle Data Warehouse structures and ETL processes using Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) and Warehouse Builder (OWB). Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with a team of developers to expand and improve the enterprise Data Warehouse
- Design, build, load, and validate data tables for the OCFS warehouse
- Analyze business needs and translate them into logical ETL workflows
- Perform unit testing and resolve technical issues throughout development
- Write and maintain complex PL/SQL code in a warehouse environment
- Troubleshoot and fix data load issues and perform 2nd-level testing
- Convert OWB processes into equivalent ODI workflows
- Create and maintain stored procedures, triggers, and ETL logic
- Report task updates to the Technical Lead and Project Manager
Qualifications:
- 7 years of experience reverse engineering OWB ETL processes and developing equivalent ODI processes
- 7 years of experience in data modeling (dimensional/relational), extraction, cleansing, manipulation within a child welfare environment
- 7 years of experience performing PL/SQL development in an Oracle Data Warehouse
- 7 years of experience using advanced ETL techniques (bulk select/insert, dynamic SQL, incremental ETL)
- 7 years of experience developing/testing mappings and ETL processes in ODI
- 7 years of experience in full SDLC including requirement gathering, testing, debugging, deployments, load issue resolution, and Oracle upgrades
- 7 years of experience developing Unix Shell Scripts and using sftp in UNIX/Linux
- 7 years of experience creating database schemas, tables, views, indexes, and stored procedures
- Bachelor’s Degree
