Job Description:
ServiceNow Service Portal Developer Experience: 7 plus years Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced ServiceNow Service Portal Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining ServiceNow Service Portal solutions, ensuring high-quality and user-friendly interfaces. This role requires strong technical knowledge of ServiceNow development, particularly within the Service Portal, UI frameworks, and integration with various ServiceNow modules.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and Development:
• Design, develop, and implement ServiceNow Service Portal solutions tailored to business needs.
• Create widgets, pages, themes, and templates using JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, AngularJS, and Bootstrap.
• Customize and configure the Service Portal for multiple use cases, focusing on usability and user experience.
• Develop custom UI solutions, forms, and workflows to ensure seamless functionality across the portal.
Collaboration and Requirements Gathering:
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Business Analysts, IT teams, and stakeholders, to understand business needs and deliver optimal Service Portal solutions.
• Participate in requirement-gathering sessions to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
Integration and Configuration:
• Integrate the Service Portal with other ServiceNow modules, such as ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, and CSM.
• Utilize REST APIs, SOAP, and JSON Web Services for third-party tool integration.
• Work with ServiceNow’s Glide API to implement dynamic and real-time data interactions within the portal.
Testing and Quality Assurance:
• Conduct unit testing and debugging to ensure the Service Portal solutions are errorfree.
• Assist in user acceptance testing and support end users during the testing phase.
Maintenance and Optimization:
• Provide ongoing support and enhancements for the Service Portal, addressing bugs and implementing improvements.
• Monitor the performance of the Service Portal, ensuring it meets defined SLAs and user experience expectations.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
• Proven Experience as a ServiceNow Developer with a focus on Service Portal development.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript, AngularJS, HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap, and related UI/UX frameworks. • Familiarity with ServiceNow’s Glide API and Client/Server-side scripting.
• Experience developing and maintaining custom ServiceNow widgets and reusable components.
• Solid understanding of ServiceNow modules like ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, or CSM and how they interact with Service Portal.
• Hands-on experience with integrations within ServiceNow.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues within Service Portal configurations.
• Ability to work collaboratively in an Agile development environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with crossfunctional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Certified ServiceNow Developer (CSA or CAD certification).
• Experience with ServiceNow UI Framework (UI Builder) and Automated Testing Framework (ATF).
• Familiarity with ServiceNow Flow Designer and Integration Hub.
• Knowledge of ITIL V3 or V4 processes
