Position Overview:
The Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) is seeking an Expert Systems Developer to support the Juvenile Justice Information System (JJIS) project. The selected candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining .NET applications using C#, MVC, Bootstrap, .NET Core, and Oracle. This role requires extensive experience in software development and database management and will involve working closely with business analysts, technical leads, and other developers.
This is a full-time, 24-month engagement beginning on October 1, 2025, with work hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with a team of developers to enhance and expand existing systems.
- Partner with Business Analysts on analysis and logical design of solutions.
- Perform unit testing and resolve identified issues.
- Execute complex VB.Net/C# coding within a CSLA and MVC environment.
- Respond to Juvenile Justice data requests as needed.
- Work under the direction of a Technical Lead or Project Manager.
- Write and maintain complex stored procedures and triggers in Oracle using PL/SQL.
- Participate in knowledge transfer activities and educate staff on coding practices, SQL queries, and validations.
Qualifications:
Candidates must meet or exceed the following qualifications:
- 7 years of experience developing .NET web applications.
- 6 years of experience writing and developing Web Services or WCF.
- 3 years of experience developing applications utilizing CSLA.
- 7 years of experience with PL/SQL, including writing packages, stored procedures, and triggers.
- 4 years of experience working with Model View Controller (MVC) architecture.
- 3 years of experience using Team Foundation Server.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred).
