Job Title: Network Architect
Place of Performance: 50 Wolf Rd., Albany, NY 12205 (Hybrid – Up to 50% telecommuting allowed; onsite required every Wednesday)
Minimum Experience: 7+ years in network architecture and infrastructure design
Rate: $68/hr - $91/hr, depending on experience
Employment Type: Contract
Duration: 23.75 Months

This project will modernize the IT infrastructure across a high-visibility public venue, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop scalable network architecture, including wireless and IoT integration
- Provide technical support and resolve network-related incidents and issues
- Recommend, test, and implement recovery and disaster recovery solutions
- Document all aspects of architecture, configurations, and operating procedures
- Manage equipment lifecycle: installation, upgrades, and decommissioning
- Configure and upgrade network software across multiple platforms
- Coordinate efforts across internal teams, vendors, and engineering partners
- Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and network standards
- Support planning and modernization of IT infrastructure at the project site
- Ensure alignment with best practices and emerging technologies
Qualifications:
- 84+ months of experience designing, implementing, and supporting multivendor network platforms (Cisco, Palo Alto, Aruba, Meraki)
- 84+ months of hands-on experience with routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless technologies
- 84+ months working with Layer 2 and Layer 3 technologies including TCP/IP, 802.1Q, OSPF, BGP, DWDM, and both single-mode and multimode fiber
- 84+ months of experience developing scalable and redundant network designs
- 84+ months implementing Quality of Service (QoS) and traffic shaping mechanisms
