Position Overview:
This HBITS position supports daily production and enhancement of the Workers’ Compensation Policy systems at NYSIF. The role contributes to both ongoing maintenance and new statutory and application modernization efforts.
Responsibilities:
- Support new development work for upcoming projects that follow statutory requirements.
- Help modernize core systems that manage policy administration, including underwriting, audits, and billing.
- Build Oracle database objects like stored procedures, packages, and views to support business functions.
- Resolve any production system issues promptly.
- Maintain and update Policy Center systems built in JavaScript, jQuery, HTML5, CSS3, MVC, and .Net Core.
- Conduct security scans and fix vulnerabilities found in code or third-party tools.
- Ensure new applications meet WCAG accessibility standards.
- Develop APIs and microservices for policy-related functionality.
- Integrate policy data into the organization’s data warehouse and business intelligence platforms.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years: Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field.
- 7 years experience in Oracle development, PL/SQL development including Triggers, Packages, Procedures, functions, views, SQL Tuning, and generating a data file from Oracle.
- 7 years experience with Microsoft C#.Net and Object-Oriented Programming, developing web-based systems using Microsoft ASP.NET and MVC.
- 7 years experience in static scanning, Third party component Scan and vulnerability remediation.
- 5 years experience with JavaScript, JQuery, CSS, JSON, and HTML, XML, REST API.
- 7 years experience developing web application conforming to Web Content Accessibility Guidelines.
- 5 years experience in using Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines.
- 7 years experience with Innotas.
