Onsite Medical Dosimetrist (CMD)
Location: Baltimore VAMC, 10 N. Greene Street, Baltimore, MD 21201
Position Type: Contracted, Onsite/ 2080 hours per year
Position Summary:
GD Resources, LLc is seeking an Onsite Medical Dosimetrist (CMD) who will be responsible for creating accurate and safe radiation treatment plans under the supervision of TMPs and the CTMP. The CMD ensures treatment plans comply with prescribed dose parameters and institutional protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and optimize radiation therapy treatment plans using Eclipse TPS and ARIA system.
Perform dose calculations and verify plan accuracy.
Support IGRT and Cone Beam CT procedures.
Maintain accurate records of all treatment plans and QA documentation.
Collaborate with TMPs, CTMPs, and oncologists to ensure patient safety and treatment efficacy.
Participate in QA and commissioning activities for treatment equipment as required.
Qualifications:
Certified Medical Dosimetrist (CMD) by the Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board (MDCB).
Minimum 2 years recent experience in radiation therapy dosimetry.
Proficient with Varian Linear Accelerators (Edge or equivalent), IGRT/Cone Beam CT, Eclipse TPS, ARIA system.
Experienced with 2D/3D Conformal, SRS, SRT, SBRT, IMRT/VMAT treatment modalities.
Knowledge of APeX/ACR/ASTRO accreditation standards.
Must meet all credentialing, immunization, and OSHA bloodborne pathogen training requirements.
