Onsite Board-Certified Therapeutic Medical Physicist (TMP)
GD Resources is hiring an Onsite Board-Certified Therapeutic Medical Physicist (TMP) to provide full-time clinical medical physics support for the VA Radiation Oncology Program. The TMP performs day-to-day physics services required for safe and effective radiation treatment delivery and works under the professional oversight of the CTMP.
Minimum Qualifications
MS or PhD in Medical Physics or related discipline
Board Certified in Medical Physics or Therapeutic Medical Physics by the ABR
Minimum of two (2) years of recent continuous clinical experience
Current CEUs and VA credentialing compliance
Key Responsibilities
Perform routine, monthly, and annual QA on linear accelerators and related equipment
Conduct patient-specific QA for all treatment modalities
Support treatment planning and verification using Eclipse and ARIA systems
Perform chart checks, weekly physics reviews, and special physics consultations
Support IGRT and Cone Beam CT workflows per TG-142 standards
Assist with commissioning, acceptance testing, and equipment upgrades
Participate in peer review conferences and quality assurance meetings
Document all care activities in CPRS and ARIA per VA policy
Provide clinical and after-hours physics coverage as required
