GD Resources is seeking an experienced Janitorial / Housekeeping Supervisor to provide onsite leadership and oversight of healthcare housekeeping services at multiple VA-supported facilities. This role ensures all cleaning operations meet VA contract requirements, infection control standards, The Joint Commission (TJC) expectations, and quality control measures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supervise, train, and support janitorial and housekeeping staff across multiple sites and shifts

  • Ensure all cleaning services are performed accurately, on time, and to healthcare standards

  • Enforce infection control practices, PPE usage, and safety procedures

  • Conduct routine inspections and document deficiencies and corrective actions

  • Maintain staffing coverage, employee schedules, and backup personnel

  • Respond to emergency cleanups, water leaks, outbreaks, and special cleaning projects

  • Maintain daily and weekly labor hour reports by site and position

  • Maintain employee rosters and ensure only approved personnel work onsite

  • Communicate regularly with the COR and/or POC regarding performance and issues

  • Train staff on VA-approved cleaning products, procedures, and conduct standards

  • Support high-level disinfection during infectious disease outbreaks

  • Enforce standards of professionalism, appearance, and customer service

  • Address performance issues, misconduct, and disciplinary actions as required

Minimum Qualifications

  • International Executive Housekeeper Association (IEHA/IHEA) Certified Executive Housekeeper (CEH) – Required

  • Minimum of one (1) year experience as a CEH Manager within the last three (3) years

  • Prior healthcare or hospital housekeeping supervisory experience

  • Strong knowledge of infection control, TJC standards, and healthcare cleaning practices

  • Proven leadership, training, and team management skills

  • Strong communication, documentation, and organizational abilities

  • Ability to respond onsite within required timeframes for emergencies

Additional Requirements

  • Must pass VA background checks and complete all VA-required training

  • Must be reachable during duty and non-duty hours

  • Must comply with HIPAA, privacy, safety, and VA conduct requirements

  • Professional appearance and leadership presence required

  • Must wear contractor-provided identification or uniform as required
