Board-Certified Interventional Radiologists
GD Resources is seeking Board-Certified Interventional Radiologists to provide high-quality care to our nation's Veterans. This role involves performing complex interventional procedures, interpreting diagnostic exams, and providing clinical consultation in an ACR-accredited facility. In addition to clinical duties, candidates will serve as attending physicians, supervising and mentoring medical residents and fellows.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Procedures: Perform a full spectrum of IR interventions including Angiography, Y90 Radioembolization, TIPS placement, Kyphoplasty, Thrombolysis, and various biopsies/drainages.
Diagnostic Interpretation: Interpret Interventional and Computed Tomography Angiography (CTA) exams as required for patient care.
On-Call & Emergency Response: Be available within 15 minutes by phone for clinical consultations.
Report on-site within 60 minutes for emergent procedures during off-hours.
Verify and read all emergent exams within one hour of completion.
Resident Supervision: Act as the attending physician for residents and fellows, ensuring all educational and clinical safety standards are met.
Consultation: Provide expert advice to referring clinicians regarding appropriate indications for interventional procedures and manage necessary post-procedure follow-up.
Required Qualifications
Board Certification: Must be Board Certified by the American Board of Radiology in Diagnostic Radiology or Interventional Radiology.
Training: Completion of an ACGME-accredited fellowship in Angiography/Interventional Radiology.
Certifications: Active ACLS and BLS certifications are required.
Experience: Ability to provide case logs illustrating recent and relevant proficiency in the procedures performed at RMRVAMC.
Language: Must be proficient in spoken and written English.
Logistics
Scheduling: The facility provides at least 8 weeks of notification for regular business hour scheduling.
Response Proximity: Candidates must reside within a distance that allows for a 60-minute on-site response time.
Direct Patient Care: Approximately 95% of time is dedicated to direct patient care and related clinical duties.
