Role: Technical Writer – Category 3
Location: On-site – 700 E. Pratt Street, Suite 2400, Baltimore, MD 21202 (limited telework may be allowed). Candidates must be within a commutable distance of Baltimore, MD
Start Date: September 2025
Performance Period: 9/1/2025 – 9/1/2026
Position Overview:
The Technical Writer will support the client in developing a new RFP for the Real Property Assessment and Valuation System replacement. This role requires exceptional communication skills, the ability to work closely with SMEs and executive staff, and experience producing high-quality technical documentation that meets State RFP standards.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, computer science, or related field (or additional experience in lieu)
- 6+ years of experience as an IT Technical Writer
- Experience creating RFPs or similar IT technical documents for large-scale companies or government entities
- Experience writing documentation and procedure manuals for various audiences
Preferred:
- Professional certification(s)
- Experience with SQL Server, Java, cloud computing, stored procedures, APIs, Microsoft Datacenter
