Position Summary:
GD Resources ,LLC is seeking an Onsite Chief Therapeutic Medical Physicist (CTMP) to oversee the radiation oncology physics program, ensuring safe and effective delivery of therapeutic radiation treatments in accordance with APeX, ACR, and ASTRO standards. The CTMP serves as the technical authority for radiation oncology equipment, procedures, and quality assurance.
Key Responsibilities:
Direct and supervise all radiation oncology physics operations.
Perform and document quality assurance (QA) procedures on all linear accelerators and imaging equipment.
Lead commissioning and acceptance testing of linear accelerators and treatment planning systems.
Ensure compliance with ACR/ASTRO/AAAPM standards and VA protocols.
Maintain accurate records of all QA, calibration, and maintenance activities.
Mentor and provide guidance to other medical physicists and dosimetrists.
Report deficiencies and recommend corrective actions to the VA Contracting Officer Representative (COR).
Qualifications:
PhD in Medical Physics or Therapeutic Medical Physics.
Board Certified by the American Board of Radiology (ABR).
Minimum 5 years post-board experience with at least 3 years of recent continuous experience in radiation oncology.
Proficient with Varian Linear Accelerators (Edge or equivalent), IGRT/Cone Beam CT, Eclipse TPS, ARIA system, MapCheck I/II, Siemens SOMATOM go.Open Pro CT.
Experience with 2D/3D Conformal, SRS, SRT, SBRT, IMRT/VMAT modalities.
Knowledge of APeX/ACR/ASTRO accreditation standards and VA CPRS EMR preferred.
Must meet all credentialing, immunization, and OSHA bloodborne pathogen training requirements.
