Location: Hybrid (50% Onsite) – 80 South Swan St, Albany, NY 12210
Rate: Depends on experience
Position Overview:
Project is part of the New York HBITS initiative focused on upgrading legacy public safety systems under the NY Gun Safety Project. This role requires strong expertise in Java, JEE, JSF, EJB, and WebSphere for modernizing secure enterprise applications in a highly regulated environment.

Position Overview:
Project is part of the New York HBITS initiative focused on upgrading legacy public safety systems under the NY Gun Safety Project. This role requires strong expertise in Java, JEE, JSF, EJB, and WebSphere for modernizing secure enterprise applications in a highly regulated environment.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as technical liaison for infrastructure and performance optimization
- Design and develop enterprise applications using JAVA, JSF, WebSphere
- Conduct code reviews and implement secure development practices
- Oversee database design, data access, and logical modeling
- Collaborate with State teams to complete technical documentation
- Lead cross-functional technical discussions and mentorship
- Maintain source control and perform risk mitigation with testing teams
Qualifications:
- 7+ years designing scalable multi-tier applications using OOP or SOA
- 7+ years in architectural design and J2EE development on WebSphere
- 7+ years using JSF for web-based enterprise solutions
- 7+ years utilizing EJB 3+ in large-scale applications
