Position Overview:
Join the NYS Department of Health's Microsoft Power Platform initiative through the HBITS program. This expert-level role focuses on PowerApps, Power Automate, and SharePoint solutions to modernize applications used in public health. Candidates must have strong knowledge of frontend technologies, InfoPath migration, SDLC, and Power Pages.

Position Overview:
Join the NYS Department of Health's Microsoft Power Platform initiative through the HBITS program. This expert-level role focuses on PowerApps, Power Automate, and SharePoint solutions to modernize applications used in public health. Candidates must have strong knowledge of frontend technologies, InfoPath migration, SDLC, and Power Pages.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze requirements and develop solutions across UI, middleware, and database tiers
- Create applications using PowerApps and Power Automate
- Migrate InfoPath forms into PowerApps
- Debug and test applications throughout development and production
- Write end-user manuals and software documentation
- Mentor and assist junior developers
Qualifications:
- 7 years of experience in SharePoint doing development in SharePoint Sites such as creation of workflows, lists, libraries, and design
- 7 years of experience in Microsoft technologies, Software Applications, Design, Planning and Development
- 4 years of experience with development of SharePoint Online forms using InfoPath and PowerApps
- 4 years of experience with all phases of the SDLC that includes requirements analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, maintenance and post production support
- 4 years experience in designing applications for use in a health-related industry or public sector
- 3 years experience with SharePoint development using frontend technologies including JavaScript and jQuery
- 3 years experience in developing custom content types and custom workflows, including Power Automate
- 2 years experience working with Power Pages to build external-facing websites and portals for Dynamics 365 and other data sources
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a comparable field
