Hiring: Cook – Dining Facility Support (NVANG DFAC)
GD Resources are seeking someone who is capable of preparing meals in a structured dining facility environment while adhering to established food safety standards and operational requirements. We are seeking a Cook to support food service operations at the Nevada Air National Guard Dining Facility during scheduled drill weekends.
The ideal candidate will be capable of performing food preparation duties, maintaining sanitation standards, and supporting meal service operations in accordance with contract requirements and applicable regulations.
The Role
As a Cook, you shall be responsible for preparing and cooking meals in support of dining facility operations. You shall perform all duties in accordance with food safety standards, applicable regulations, and contract requirements, while supporting uninterrupted service during scheduled operating hours.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare and cook meals to support dining facility operations
Perform duties in accordance with U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Food Code standards and applicable state and local standards
Maintain sanitation and hygiene in accordance with established requirements
Support uninterrupted performance of all required tasks during operating hours
Comply with all installation regulations including fire, traffic, safety, and security requirements
Wear required uniform items including long pants, short sleeve shirt, cap or hairnet, and proper footwear
Display proper identification at all times while on the installation
Complete required training including food handler training as directed
Comply with access, security, and identification procedures for installation entry
Safeguard Government property and ensure facilities, equipment, and materials are secured at the end of each work period
Present a professional and neat appearance at all times
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Must have at least 2 years of experience
Lead cook must possess a valid ServSafe certificate
Must be able to complete food handler training
Must comply with installation access requirements including background checks
Must be at least 22 years of age
Must be capable of performing duties in accordance with contract requirements
