Position Overview:
GD Resources is seeking an IT Specialist to provide hands-on technical support for end users in a fast-paced enterprise environment. The role includes supporting daily operations related to hardware, software, and systems, with a focus on optimizing service delivery, platform security, and technical issue resolution. This individual will play a key role in maintaining a stable IT environment while collaborating with cross-functional technical teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Tier 2 support and respond to escalated technical issues; handle Tier 1 tasks as needed (e.g., answering support calls, ticket creation).
- Onboard and offboard users, including provisioning and deploying equipment.
- Deliver training to state personnel and ensure consistent knowledge transfer.
- Use PowerShell scripts to manage and optimize IT platform functions.
- Administer and support corporate Mobile Device Management (MDM) systems.
- Monitor, maintain, and ensure platform security compliance with cybersecurity standards.
- Test Group Policies and operating system updates prior to deployment.
- Utilize enterprise tools to develop and implement infrastructure components.
- Perform preventative maintenance and resolve routine hardware/software issues.
- Coordinate with teams to manage assigned project tasks and implement technical processes.
- Support hardware/software upgrades with detailed planning and coordination.
- Assess and recommend new infrastructure tools, products, and technologies.
- Document system deployments, design specifications, manuals, and technical processes.
- Use VPN and terminal services for secure remote access.
- Collaborate closely with infrastructure teams, service desk, and external IT partners.
Mandatory Qualifications:
- 36 months experience in Desktop Support
- 36 months experience in technical design, testing, and problem-solving
- 36 months experience with mobile device management (MDM) solutions
- 36 months experience with Active Directory group policy standards
- 36 months experience with networking concepts (DHCP, VLANs, ACLs, Firewalls)
- 36 months experience with Windows 7 & 10 (including 64-bit OS)
- 36 months experience with scripting (PowerShell preferred)
- 36 months experience with client-based security tools (antivirus, PKI, HDD encryption)
- 36 months experience with Windows image deployment using MDT
- 36 months experience supporting VPN, 2FA, and network printing
- 36 months of Active Directory management experience
- 36 months experience with cyber security compliance
- 36 months experience with Intel workstation hardware and OS
- 36 months experience solving hardware/software problems
- 36 months engineering experience in research, analysis, planning, and implementation
- Relevant certifications for MS Windows
Additional Information:
- Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (37.5 hours/week)
- Telecommuting: Not allowed (100% onsite)
- Interview Format: Webcasting (camera required)
