Janitor 

GD Resources LLC is seeking reliable janitorial staff to support cleaning operations at the Kawishiwi Ranger District facilities in Ely, Minnesota. The role involves providing routine and periodic cleaning services for office buildings, crew quarters, and garages on an after-hours schedule. Personnel will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and overall facility upkeep while ensuring consistent quality and adherence to established service requirements.

Core Duties:

• Sweep, mop, vacuum all floor types (carpet, tile, concrete, rubber, wood)
• Clean restrooms (toilets, urinals, showers, mirrors, tile, fixtures)
• Empty trash, recycling, transport to dumpster/recycling center
• Dust and wipe non-personal surfaces (furniture, counters, displays)
• Clean windows, doors, drinking fountains, elevators
• Maintain cafeteria, conference rooms, offices
• Spot clean carpets + annual deep cleaning support
• Perform periodic tasks:
  • Window washing
  • Floor stripping/waxing
  • High dusting 

Other Tasks:

• Change light bulbs, batteries, urinal cartridges
• Maintain drains, test safety stations
• Secure building (doors, lights off)

Requirements / Constraints:

• Must follow manufacturer cleaning standards
• Work is after hours (4:30 PM – 11:00 PM weekdays)

Experience:

• Must understand, speak and write English 
• Experience in commercial janitorial preferred
