EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Contingent upon contract award
Overview: The Program Management Specialist will provide administrative and logistical support for the Computing and Communication Foundations (CCF) division of the client. The role includes assisting program officers with program solicitations, communications, workshop coordination, and reviewer recruitment. The candidate will play a key role in maintaining program efficiency and supporting various research initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist program staff in managing research funding programs.
- Prepare, staff, and clear program solicitations and management plans.
- Develop communication materials and presentation slides for program officers.
- Organize logistics and coordination for workshops and interagency planning activities.
- Maintain and distribute program process documents, templates, and timelines.
- Support proposal evaluation by categorizing submissions into appropriate panels.
- Assist in panelist recruitment by managing reviewer databases and survey results.
- Work on-site at the NSF and collaborate with program officers.
Required Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Engineering, or Mathematics (CISE-supported fields).
- Experience managing research projects and teams.
- Familiarity with research, project, and program management.
- Strong business acumen in handling complex projects and budgets.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote).
- Experience using Outlook for calendar and schedule management.
- Familiarity with Zoom, OneDrive, Microsoft Teams, Box, Slack.
- Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint or other online collaboration tools.
- Ability to automate and innovate processes.
