Job Title: Physical Therapist
Hours Per Day: 7.50
Days Per Week: 5.00
Shift Time: 8am-415pm M-F
Schedule Notes: 2 years of exp required
Location: 10 Union Square East, NEW YORK, NY 10003
Rate: $18/hr
Stipend: $32

Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial patient examinations and design treatment goals and therapy plans.
- Deliver therapy interventions and adjust treatment as needed after re-examinations.
- Document evaluations, progress notes, monthly summaries, and discharge reports promptly.
- Provide education and training to families, caregivers, and healthcare staff.
- Recommend and document durable medical equipment needs, including medical necessity letters.
- Participate in discharge planning, including home exercise programs and follow-up therapy recommendations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams during conferences, rounds, and meetings.
- Cover additional patients as needed to meet staffing requirements.
- Supervise rehab assistants, students, and volunteers as assigned.
- Maintain accurate therapy records, patient charges, and statistical reports.
- Attend professional development and in-service training sessions.
- Adhere to all policies, procedures, and professional standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy (Master’s preferred).
- Current New York State Physical Therapy license.
- 2 years experience required
- Member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Analytical problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
