Position Overview:
Project is part of the New York HBITS initiative supporting the Hepatitis Elimination and Epidemiology Dataset (HEED). This position requires expertise in SAS, R, Dataflux, and Tableau for high-impact data management, public health analytics, and regulatory reporting in a health department setting.

Position Overview:
Project is part of the New York HBITS initiative supporting the Hepatitis Elimination and Epidemiology Dataset (HEED). This position requires expertise in SAS, R, Dataflux, and Tableau for high-impact data management, public health analytics, and regulatory reporting in a health department setting.
Responsibilities:
- Extract, match, and cleanse datasets from multiple public health data sources
- Analyze HEED data to support NYS Hepatitis C Elimination metrics and dashboards
- Use SAS, SQL, Dataflux, and R for statistical analysis and data integration
- Maintain version-controlled documentation and data dictionaries
- Perform quality assurance, validation, and visual reporting
- Collaborate with internal teams and serve as liaison to dashboard developers
- Ensure security and confidentiality compliance in all tasks
Qualifications:
- 6+ years in study design and statistical analysis using SAS, R, Tableau
- 5+ years of SAS programming in a public health setting after bachelor's
- Bachelor's in Statistics, Epidemiology, or related science
- 2+ years using Dataflux for data matching
- 5+ years in SQL or SAS SQL for data aggregation and analysis
- 2+ years creating and using SAS macro variables
- 2+ years working with communicable disease data systems
