Cardiothoracic Physician Assistant (CTPA)
Position Overview
GD Resources LLC is seeking a Cardiothoracic Physician Assistant (CTPA) to provide services on site in accordance with the terms and conditions of the contract to beneficiaries of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) at the VA San Francisco Health Care System.
The contractor shall provide services including endoscopic radial and saphenous vein harvesting, ultrasound guided arterial and venous access for central line placement, chest tube and pigtail insertion and removal, insertion and removal of Swan-Ganz catheter, removal of pacing wires, cardioversion, performance of first and second assistant responsibilities in cardiothoracic surgery in the operating room, and bedside assistant for robotic procedures.
The Role
As a Cardiothoracic Physician Assistant (CTPA), you shall provide services at the San Francisco Veterans Affairs Health Care System and perform duties in accordance with contract requirements. The contractor shall furnish services on site and ensure performance meets the standards set forth in the contract.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform endoscopic radial and saphenous vein harvesting
- Perform ultrasound guided arterial and venous access for central line placement
- Perform chest tube and pigtail insertion and removal
- Perform insertion and removal of Swan-Ganz catheter
- Perform removal of pacing wires
- Perform cardioversion
- Perform first and second assistant responsibilities in cardiothoracic surgery in the operating room
- Provide bedside assistance for robotic procedures
Qualifications and Experience
- Must have documented experience of more than 100 endoscopic procedures in each location
- Must possess full and unrestricted license issued in any State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia
- Must meet credentialing and privileging requirements
- Must be technically proficient in required skills
- Must be able to speak, understand, read, and write English fluently
